Dairy Goats

Like many others, we decided to keep a few dairy goats as a source of milk for our family. We will have dairy kids available in the spring for purchase. Please check with us on availability, as our time will be limited and will need to move the kids as soon as possible after birth. Will be willing to put you on a waiting list and call when we have what you are looking for.

Our herd is tested for CAE annually before milking. We vaccinate twice yearly for CD&T/ pneumonia. All kids are disbudded shortly after birth. Some are dam raised and others are raised on heat treated goat milk.

We bred him and his twin brother to our milkers for spring '10 freshening. The kids were exceptional. Expecting great things! Buck is strong in dairyness and has great feet and leg placement. At 12 years of age Manda Lin is just as strong as the younger does in the herd. She still holds up extremely well when in milk and has really good production. Hoping the longevity of his dam is passed through his influence in our herd.

So many great things I could think of to describe this buck! His growth has been amazing and yet he still retains great dairyness. Can't wait to see his kids in 2012. We needed elevation and height and just some boldness in our doe herd. I choose to keep this boy to do just that. He has an amazing phenotype and should keep production up. He is straight and correct in every way. I don't usually think much of the bucks, but this kid is an exception.

Manda Lin comes to us from Angela Peevy, Dacula, GA. We are very excited about adding this great doe to the herd. She was appraised once as a 6 year old and scored 90 VEVE. She is a tall, high withered, long & level doe. The rear udder in this doe has superior height. Her dam was the 1997 spotlight sale doe with one champion leg.
